Summary
Performs preventative maintenance and light repairs of injection tooling. Ability to assist in diagnosis of the issues during preventative maintenance and production.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot molds and tools to determine root cause of issues.
- Ability to disassemble/reassemble molds and tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance on molds and tools; including monitoring tooling for wear.
- Ensure tooling conforms to specs.
- Set up and change injection tooling.

- Documentation of all work performed.
- Maintain clean work environment while applying all safe work practices; following all safety procedures in accordance to company policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Display a positive attitude in day to day interactions with other employees and supervisors.

- Provide management with information on safety and reliability of equipment.
- Work closely with management to identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged sitting/standing.
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks: visual inspection of machinery and product, fine hand manipulation, bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and overhead reach.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding the function of injection tooling and basic machinery.
- Perform basic math calculations and readings of various instruments (ex. Calipers dial indicators, micrometers, height gages, etc.) essential to job duties.
- Possess basic blueprint reading skills with ability to work from drawings, verbal instructions, or sketches.
- Self-motivated.
