Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes spring cleaning season. While it can feel like a daunting task, with some planning and a little effort, you can efficiently tackle your home’s cleaning needs. To help you get started, we’ve created a simple, room-by-room guide outlining key areas to focus on, along with the best tools to make the job quicker and easier.

Declutter
- Go through drawers, closets, and countertops
- Donate or toss unused or expired items to minimize clutter
- Wipe down insides of cabinets and drawers with an all-purpose cleaning solution and microfiber cloth
- Reorganize storage spaces (closets, cabinets and pantry)
Dust
- Dust ceiling fan blades using a microfiber duster. Our Flexible Microfiber Duster is great for high ceilings with an ability to extend to 7 feet long
- Clean any dust or cobwebs from light fixtures and lamps
- Clean off light switches and plates using an all-purpose cleaning solution and rag
- Wipe down all baseboards and trims
- Dust or vacuum any vents or air ducts
- Dust or wipe each slat of your blinds or shutters with a microfiber cloth, or our reusable, machine-washable Microfiber Duster
- Wipe down corners, door frames and walls for dust and cobwebs
Tip: Make sure to start from the highest points of the room to the lowest in order to ensure that dust from ceilings doesn’t fall onto your clean floor.
Windows and Mirrors
- Wash both the interior and exterior of your windows and clean window sills. Clean dirt from window tracks with our Dual-Sided Tile and Grout Brush that cleans any tight space
- Wipe down with a glass cleaner and cloth or squeegee. Our Window Squeegee leaves a streak-free shine with its high-quality rubber blade
Floors
- Sweep, vacuum or mop all floors, depending on the type of flooring you have (wood, tile, carpet). Our Rinse n’ Wring™ Microfiber Mop System is awesome for cleaning a variety of floor surfaces like hardwood, vinyl and more
Kitchen
- Clean behind your major appliances, like the fridge and the stove, by sweeping/vacuuming
- Clean both the interior and exterior of the stove and oven
- Clean inside your microwave using a damp sponge with dish soap. Spray and wipe down the exterior of the microwave
- After cleaning out any debris in the dishwasher, do a rinse cycle with vinegar and baking soda
- Empty and clean the interior of your refrigerator and throw away any expired items
- Spray cabinet shelves, walls and drawers with cleaner, and wipe down thoroughly
Bathroom
- Scrub shower tiles, grout, and remove soap scum buildup
- Scrub inside, outside and behind the toilet to remove any grime or stains. Sanitize your toilet bowl brush by submerging it in hot water with a disinfectant cleaner
- Clean the sink, faucet, and countertops, wiping away toothpaste and soap buildup
- Wipe down mirrors with a glass cleaner
- Clean inside cabinets and throw out any expired products
- Mop floors and clean around toilet
Living Room
- Vacuum furniture upholstery and spot-clean stains. Dust and polish wood furniture
- Fluff and vacuum chair/sofa cushions and under cushions
Bedrooms
- Wash all sheets and mattress pad
- Spot-treat any stains on your mattress, and rotate or flip it if needed
Tip: Deodorize by sprinkling baking soda on top of your mattress, leaving for an hour or so and then vacuuming it up.
