Spooky season is here! Now is the perfect time to embrace Halloween traditions, and carving pumpkins is a must-do. However, without the right tools, it can be extremely messy. Here is a step-by-step guide to carving a pumpkin using Libman products, so you can have fun and not fear a scary cleanup.

Make sure to wash off your pumpkin before you start carving. The All-Purpose Non-Scratch Easy Rinse Sponge is perfect for removing debris off of surfaces, while still being gentle. For stubborn dirt, scrub with a bit of dish soap, then rinse either with a hose or in a sink. Move the pumpkin to a flat surface like a kitchen table or garage floor with newspapers or a tarp underneath.

Put on Libman Nitrile Disposable Gloves and remove the insides, disposing of them directly into a trash bag. Use a large spoon or ice cream scoop, or even a handheld mixer on low speed for easier removal. Scrape the sides so it is easier to carve through the sides.

Design and Carve Your Masterpiece

Use battery-operated candles or colored LED lights for a safe and fun option. String fairy lights are also a great addition. If you prefer the classic look, use small votive candles or tea lights. Carve a small vent hole so that heat can escape at the top of the pumpkin.
